You risk provoking the wrath and anger of those who disagree with your opinion by publishing a list of the “greatest ever” or the “all-time” movies. Sounds like fun, huh?
It’s impossible to put together a list that is unrivaled. You can argue to your blue-in-the face about the merits of the films you have chosen. Rushmore is a great idea, but your opinion will only be that, in the end. Everyone has a favorite, and everyone feels the need to share that with the rest of us.
Disney’s Mary Poppins has been a huge hit. The original Mary Poppins film is familiar to kids of all generations. Now, a new generation can enjoy this spin-off. Emily Blunt plays Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins returns. Michael Banks is a banker who finds out that his home is to be repossessed because he cannot pay his mortgage loan. He must locate a missing certificate showing he had inherited shares from his father many years ago. Michael is about to give up hope when Mary Poppins visits him. His childhood nanny takes Michael and his sister along on a magical adventure filled with fun and shenanigans.
It’s fun to make a list of the best movies in a particular genre. You have to dig deep into the archives to see how many movies are in competition. It forces you to watch and rewatch movies to make sure your opinion is as solid as possible. You may not have the prettiest hedging in the neighborhood but you know [insert the genre here] films inside and out.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon– Although martial arts movies have been around for a while, this one at the dawn of the 21st Century saw the perfect marriage between action and art. This is an epic and haunting movie that will stay with you long after the credits have rolled.
Die Hard – The first of many action films that will be released in the future, this is arguably the best Christmas movie of all time. This franchise is guaranteed to be a show-stopper, and the first film in the series is a must-see if you can catch it on television.
The Matrix – Although the sequels were not up to standard and did not deliver on the promise of the first film, this movie is still a great action flick. The storyline is also impressive, with its high-level and otherworldly nature.
Watching their children grow up can be both magical and depressing for parents. When it comes to time spent with your children, you want to make the most of every moment, which includes choosing the right movies to watch. You want to make sure that during the precious few years where your children think you are awesome, you have had some amazing moments of vegging out on the couch and watching a great movie.
